Every part of the job, not one slice of it
Most low-voltage shops put you on cabling for years. Here you'll rotate through the whole stack as the work comes in.
- Structured cabling: Cat6/6A, fiber, racks, certification, and documentation
- Cameras and access control, from mounting through programming
- Conference rooms, signage, and paging
- VoIP phone systems and cutovers
- Managed IT support for small businesses: networks, Microsoft 365, backups
- Site walks, estimating, and client handoffs alongside the owner
Craft first
- You care what the inside of the rack looks like, not just whether it works
- Low-voltage, electrical, or IT experience, or the drive to learn it fast
- Comfortable on ladders and lifts, in ceilings, and on occupied job sites
- Valid driver's license and a clean background check (schools, clinics, and secure sites require it)
- Live within reach of Baxter and the Des Moines metro
- Straight with clients, and with us, when something goes sideways
